Um... what to blog about... OK spent my day hunting hotels, for another trip to New York, um... slept. And worked on presents...
OK. So my 2010 was a really interesting one, I graduated High School and started University. Also I lost a grand mother, so yeah that was a low light. My favourite movie of the year would have to be with out a doubt Harry Potter, I mean I do remember times and events based off of when Harry Potter was released. And so without a doubt I will remember 2010 movies by Harry Potter. And my song of the year definitely has to be Dynamite, it was my song of the summer. But my other song that I fell in love with is Bad Romance, I know the dance and that makes me feel really cool. So that was my pop culture of 2010.
Now one more thing, I am with out a doubt in my mind one of the biggest Anne Hathaway fans out there. I have seen 14/19 of the her movies that have been released and well 3 of those were released in 2010, thus making it the year of Anne Hathaway. Which has been confirmed by the lovely people at the Oscars who've asked her to host this years events. Plus she apparently gets studios the most money (for a woman), this according to Forbes. All in all it has been an exciting year for Anne Hathaway, thus an exciting year for me. Man, do I need a life.
But I think the thing that will forever mark my 2010 was actually the Vancouver Winter Olympics. I have always (slightly ironically) the Olympics, even though I HATE sports, but there is something truly magical about it. The best part is when watching I always think that a bazillion other people across the world are watching too, its a very unifying thing even though the whole premise is to rank people. I have never in my life been so patriotic towards Canada, and yet I couldn't be prouder then, then to be
So really all in all, my year was defined by real magic, the magic of happiness from getting into schools, graduating, Olympic Medals, Anne and Harry. All of them causing me to have a really happy year, even though I lost my grandmother, I still had a happy year. Because I chose to only do what made me happy, rather then things that didn't.
Oh so I want to share this picture last week but slightly forgot , its a picture of the MOST AMAZING CRÉPES IN THE WORLD!!!! And twice now I have not been able to finish it because its so good that even though I want to, I would through up. Not in a bad way, but in a I don't want to ruin this with throwing up. Don't the colours of the chocolate look sooo amazing! God, its like a magical crepe really. One that makes me really really happy and so satisfied you don't need to whole thing. I promise I don't eat compulsively... or I don't think I do.
And Lee, your welcome for the taking out to the movie. I did enjoy Love and Other Drugs, I know that not Everyone did. It was actually really funny, when we sat down Nicole (one of the other people at the movie) noticed a couple being really couply two rows ahead of us. And we felt like they were going to be- for lack of another word- snogging the entire time. But the best thing was that halfway into the movie I noticed they didn't kiss once, pointed it out to Nicole and well we enjoyed that. But as the movie went on they sat further and further apart. Even at the end he tried to kiss her but she turned her body away. T'was very entertaining.
OK, so I think that's a long enough blog.
