So, today was in interesting on... I got up at 7am (like a 1 ½ hours before I needed to) so that I could ensure myself a spot here in residence next year. I got to the front desk at 7:08am and was given number 14 – you could not get a form until 8am! I was basically an hour early and I was number 14! That seems crazy, that people would get up even earlier just to get a room in residence!
On another note today I had my multiculturalism class and it made my head want to explode! We were discussing the idea a ‘white privilege’ (for the recode I am white) and it lead to a very heated discussion that I do not want to go that far into but needless to say I was VERY angry leaving that class because the teacher was being such a nightmare (she too is white)!
As for drinking, as I have said I live in a college residence and it is everywhere. I myself have only drunk once this year and it was not even that fun. I don’t get it; I don’t get all the hype about drinking and getting waited. It seems like a waste of brain cells, money and time. I would rather spend my night with my friends and remember the whole think the next day and not have to deal with hangovers. I have been truly drunk once and only once and that was you guessed it a total cliché – prom. I had WAY too much to drink but still managed to get myself in to bed that night despite the fact that it was in a sleeping bag in the middle of a hallway type thing in the basement but I did do it all by myself. The next day was horrible, the hangover was killer! As a whole I just don’t get the craze. I look forward to seeing what you all have to say about the topic.
