- Lemon meringue pie is amazing. Filling is sweet with a hint of sour, and that fluffy topping is pretty cool. The crust grounds the whole thing; very satisfying.
- Went to Ontario Place today, and it was a lot of fun! In my mind it's always been a kid brother to the Ex: okay, but way less fun. What I realized today is that it has nothing to do with the Ex, it just happens to be close to the Exhibition grounds. So the comparison is unfair. With that in mind… yeah Ontario Place is pretty okay. Good Beavertails and all. Looking forward to going back!
- I had a series of pretty dull and bad summers late into elementary school and in middle school. Just… black holes. I used to be at my most "down", and almost looked forward to school starting. Once I really started hanging out with friends during the summer – pretty much when high school began – they started getting better and better.
- I enrolled in my courses for university today. In a nutshell: biology, chemistry, calculus, and two weird sciency courses that I don't even fully know about. That includes not only the lecture portions of the courses, but the practicals and tutorials, for a grand total of 20 hours of class per week. 20 hours! (I'm looking at some arts students' schedules, and seeing around 14 hours.) Kind of heavy for someone who's not fully convinced about the whole Life Sciences thing. What if I want to be a musician or a store owner or a museum curator? What am I doing taking 20 hours of sciences?
- I haven't seen Rae in over a month.
