Europe no more, summer chick flicks galore!

Hullo! It's Evie :D
Finally back from my Eurotrip :P A whole two weeks of wonderful adventure. It was pretty amazing living away from home and exploring new cities and languages. Having read Lee's post I have to say that coming home was a different experience for me. I found that I jumped right back into things; it's only been three days back home but it already feels like I never left. I have also been told repeatedly that I was missed :D super sweet right? I'm glad to be home if only because I'm most likely not going to get robbed at home. I do miss the french bread though (I knew I would :P). Coming back home was a bit like trying on shoes or something - let me expand that a bit. Each of the different places were new shoes I was trying on; each one was fun to live in for a bit or 'try on' but at the end of the day it's kinda nice to put back on my comfy shoes, the ones I'm used to, the ones I started with. Yea, I hope that doesn't make me sound like a crazy person. One more thing about the trip, it made me realize I really do like traveling (I wasn't sure before the trip) but I like to travel with other people as opposed to doing it on my own. It seems fun to share such an awesome experience like that with friends and such.
Anywho, on to the second part of the title of my post. Chick flicks baby!! I happen to adore chick-flicks (quality chick flicks that is - the ones with actual acting in them and, you know, good romance and stuff...don't judge me :P) and so today I went with my sister (also a fan of a good 'ole chick flick now and again) to see Knight and Day, the new movie with Cameron Diaz and Tom Cruise. I went in to the movie with fairly low expectations having seen the trailer and read the terrible review in the paper and in that frame of mind I thoroughly enjoyed myself :D. I laughed at the parts I was supposed to and I got all giddy during even the lamest of romantic moments. It was pretty sweet, not gonna lie! But you'll notice my use of the word lame, yea it was kinda lame...in fact I predict some harsh criticisms on the movie if I were to bring it up in a conversation with some of my friends (yea Sloan, I'm talking about you!) but...meh! It's all about the entertainment value right?
Now that I'm back home it's nice seeing movies again. While I was away I saw a total of like 1.5 movies...in over two weeks!! It's summer time babay, I wanna see all the summer flicks! I feel like I've missed so many already, which is why I went today with my sister...and then came home and watched Shakespeare in Love. Now there's a fantastic chick flick, but it's not new it's from the 90's. I would highly, and I mean HIGHLY recommend it to the chick flick fan, or even someone who isn't cuz I mean, it's pretty good quality in every aspect. It won a fuckin oscar after all :D ...*sigh...just remembering a good scene. Seriously though, for those who haven't seen it...just...I dunno, go see it and stuff. It's good. Peeps can back me up on that one.
Right. Well this is probably long enough ya? (Throw in a little british for ya...tee-hee)
I hope all of you are enjoying the summer flicks too!! Till next week -
Evie (in a good mood thanks to Joseph Fiennes and Gwenyth Paltrow!) :D

ps. I just realized that I've actually spent the last two days in chick flick mode cuz I saw Eclipse the other day with Lee...also liked that one :P though I'll admit to it's slight lameness also...but the eye candy in that movie is OFF THE CHARTS...seriously.
pps. uhhhhh i have no idea about rae's thingy but I'm just gonna guess number 2 also cuz I feel like I would have noticed something like that :P

  1. Funny story; Miah and I were talking about how your post would cut it close, 'cause it was 11 something and it still wasn't up. And I said, "she's probably watching a movie." Ehhh? Ehhhhh?
