OK. So my summer was the best that I have had in a long time. Mainly because no relatives were in the hospital or pasted away... and because I took a conscious effort to relax and enjoy my summer even though I had work.
Camp was definitely the most stressful year I've had because of the sheer number of kids I've had, but luckily the support system this year was a lot better then previous. I had really cute kids, really really annoying kids, and kids that were just perfect. The specialist (the people who run things like music, dance, sports etc.) this year were a lot better then last year and a lot friendlier. All in all it was a much more positive summer then previous. It was such a good summer for me that I even won an award!!! Yep. You my friends and readers are reading the post of the winner for Above and Beyond! :D It was definitely one of the high lights of my summer.
We learn about the winners at the staff banquet which was held last Wednesday, it was fun. My friend Eliza dance as if we are 5 years old, because really neither of us can dance like we are 18 and 22.
So today I have my Orientation, kind of terrified because I have no idea what is going to happen, but at the same time I am totally excited. I get my student card, my locker, and loads of free stuff! Plus I get the opportunity to make 999 new friends! (The first year class is 1000 people.) I was reading on the University website the statistics of my school. Apparently 2/3 are women... so that means only 1/3 are men, and because it's an art school I'm assuming 1/3 of those men are straight. So it'll be really interesting to fish out the guys.
OK. That is it for now, I figured I would do this now at 12:01 am because I am pretty sure that I won't have the energy or the time to do this later tomorrow.
Miah
P.S. Next weeks post is gonna be about my first days!!! So exciting!
UPDATE 11:02 pm
Orientation was so much fun and I met lots of people! Also I realized that I forgot to answer Ray's question. So I wouldn't be able to pick one store, because I love so many... and I have unlimited money so who cares? But I would be able to say specific stores in different genres. I would go with The Gap for clothes, The Apple store for computers and such, Deserres for art supplies, and Indigo for books.
Oh and 79 days!
