The first day of the rest of my life...

So, today is the first (full) day of rez and it has been a lot of fun despite any hesitations that I had this morning. Firstly let us go to Saturday night. I had a chilled day combined with more packing. Then for dinner we had my grandparents (my dad’s parents’) and my neighbours who are like my other parents over for dinner. It was fun, like it always is, but when they all had to leave and go home I had to say goodbye and see you in 6 weeks so clearly I just started bawling my eyes out at this fact. Then the next morning (Sunday aka move in day) I had to say goodbye to my house and off we went on our 3ish hour drive. After arriving to my relief my roommate had arrived but was not in our room at that moment. This gave me time to start to unpack my things and get organized. When she finally got back to the room she was with her mom, dad and younger brother. I said hi and such only to find out that her parents were British accents and all! Eventually I had to go to a meeting for rez and it was a total boar fest. When that was over I went out to dinner with my family and then back to say our goodbyes which was horrible! I was again bawling my eyes out but I know that this has to happen in order for me to grow up and become more me. Now if you thought all this was bad then wait. I turned on my computer and off to FaceBook I went only to see in someone’s status that the man that ran the camp I went to for 5 years had died. Granted I had my issues with this man (specifically for not giving me a job at his camp) but before he denied me that I loved going there – it was always the highlight of my summer. Now since I was already emotional I again started crying about the fate of the camp. Once I pulled myself together I did not have the strength to go and party with people so my roommate and I just hung out and chatted. That was all yesterday. Now today we got up to go and find the free pancakes only to find a line but it was worth it because they were good and we had to do no work! Then a few hours later she left with her family to well I have no idea where she was going but I decided that I should go to the rez games (despite having to go alone) thanks to a few choice texts from a friend. After volleyball and a campus tour it we had a lunch break – I had chicken noodle soup (have I mentioned that it is defiantly fall weather today) and did a Sudoku. When lunch break was over we had the blow up obstacle course which was a lot of fun! This leaves to now. There are still things going on such as a coffee house tonight at 8pm that I am excited about. But this is day one of the rest of my life so we will see how this goes.
Now the question of Lady Gaga... I love poker face. I have always loved the song. I was on an episode of Gossip Girl and more recently Glee and I have just loved listing to it. As for music videos I am not so in tuned with that so I don’t have an answer.
Till next time,
Rae <3
