This week my parents have taken off work and my brother and I have no plans so we are having ‘Family Fun Week!’ This is basically a week where we try to do things together and just have fun as a family. This all started when we could not decide where to go for a family vacation then it became too late to get anywhere so we decided that we were just gonna hang out in the city.
Family fun week stared out great yesterday with a late night trip to Wal-Mart Supercenter; my family is weird and we love going to Wal-Mart at strange hours in the middle of the night. Today started out with me having a nice sleep in and then my brother wanted to play a sport and we decided on basketball. So he got my mom to move the car and van out of the driveway and far away-ish. Then he moved the basketball net to the end of the driveway and we then played two-on-two basketball. Myself and my dad vs. my brother and my mom. Sadly I did not win, we actually kinda sucked (a lot!) but it was fun and that was the point. That takes us to right now. But tonight we are having a seafood fest – lobster, scallops and possibly shrimp. I am very excited, I love lobster and scallops, I learned to love seafood two summers ago when we went on an east coast adventure and drove to the eastern provinces. The minor issue is that my brother does not like seafood so he is gonna eat a steak (his favourite food in the whole world). I don’t think I mentioned that we are not eating alone. My next door neighbours and my grandparents are coming to join in on the feast! As for the rest of the week the only plans are that on Wednesday the four of us along with a family friend and his 10 year old daughter are going to a water park for the day and I am totally excited for that.
Next Sunday I leave for the ‘big apple’ with my mom so I have no idea if I will blog on Monday or Sunday or when but you will get something I promise!
