The Song of Purple Summer

83 DAYS!!!!

This week marks the last week of camp, and the end to my summer. So sad. My summer though I have worked for majority of it has been a lot of fun. I absolutely love working at a summer camp with my kids. I mean where else would you hear lines like "I like to put the water jet on my poof poof" ? Or "Brett that's a silly name cause it's like bread!" Where else would you teach Russian children English and anti-swimmers swim? Not to mention the awesome Staff... and a couple in particular.
Next week I'll have a better full look back on the summer. But at this moment I am getting ready for the Staff Banquet! (AKA Staff Dance) As far as the title it's a song title from my favourite musical Spring Awakening, it's the final song and one of the lyrics are:
Listen to what's in the heart of a child
A song so big in one so small
Then you will hear where beauty lies
You'll find and you'll recall
The sadness the doubt all the loss the grief
Belongs to some play from the past
As the child leads the way to a dream, a belief
A Time of hope through the land.
OK. Off to Partaaay!
