So, I’m in New York and it is amazing!!!
I’m gonna recap Family Fun Week and then next week talk about NYC.
So Monday was fun, the lobster was amazing and so were the scallops. Then on Tuesday was kind of uneventful. My grandparents’ car needed to be taken to the body shop so my dad and I got into their car and my mom and brother got into our car and off we went. Up to this body shop that felt like it was in the middle of nowhere but it must have been somewhere, where I do not know. That was a pretty chill day and that night on TV was one of our family shows that we love to watch together – America’s Got Talent (aka AGT). It was a good show, I love that show! I ended up going to bed at a reasonable time that night because then next day I went to the water park I told you about with the family friends that I told you about. It was a very fun day! I did get a minor sun burn BUT I did wear sunscreen so I don’t know how that happened. The only downer part of the day was at the very end we were about to get our stuff together and leave and it started to rain. I’m not talking light showers I’m talking hard rain powering down for like 10 min. it was annoying but it kinda had to happen it was so hot that the rain broke the humidity. That night when we got home I was so tired but that did not stop me from staying up WAY to late watching TV with my brother but none of that happened until after dinner and the results of AGT. Thursday I slept in till noon because I was so tired and had stayed up so late. We ended up not doing much until late that day. Every Thursday in the park near my house there is a farmers’ market and so that day pretty much the only thing we did was to go to the market and bought all our supplies for dinner that night. We ended up having these amazing sausages, salad, green beans and the best corn I have EVER eaten in my whole life! Then I had to go to bed at a sensible time that night because the next morning I was babysitting. Yes, I babysat during family fun week but we seem to never do things in the morning anyway so I wanted to make some money. The two kids (a girl 8 and a boy 10) are the chilliest kids that I babysit. We ended up watching a movie, the [original] bad news bears, with popcorn at 10 o’clock in the morning. They are fun kids to babysit! Then when I got home nothing was happening so I decided to watch some TV with my brother. Then my parents needed to go out to see some guy that might do the possible renovation to our house and wanted to know if we wanted to go so we did. We ended up just sitting in the car when they went to talk to him but it was worth getting out of the house. That night we were going to go to a drive in movie but the two double features were not in the right combination so we ended up going to a Greek Festival with our neighbours for dinner and to just walk around the festival. It was a lot of fun with a lot of good food! After getting home I was so tired and soon went to bed after that. Saturday was full of packing – me and my mom for NYC and my brother today left for Vancouver. Luckily my grandparents’ rock and they took us out to dinner so that my mom did not have to cook. Yesterday we left the house around 9am and headed off to the airport or flight was at 11:15 and then off we went ending family fun week.
